I'm considering adding a day at Universal to our trip. Are weekends really busy, or would a Friday be a better option? If we go on a week day is it still worth while to pay for the front of the line pass or are lines not too bad?

We visited last 10 years ago. I thought it was fun but not Disneyland fun - My kids love Minions and Spongebob this is why I have started to consider it. Did your kids love it after experiencing DL?

Are you asking about peak season or off season?

We were there a couple of weeks ago, didn't think much of it. Our girls (9 & 6) aren't thrill seekers at all, they loved Minion ride and Simpsons ride but weren't keen on much else. We wound up leaving after a couple of hours, though I managed to get on a couple of other rides. It will be much better once Harry Potter opens (maybe).

For us it really was missing the magic you get at Disneyland. Plus there are quite a few big rides but not a lot else.
