Hi,
Does anyone know how busy Universal/IOA will be the second week in December? I am debating the express passes ... is it worth buying or are the lines fairly short this time of year?
Thanks

The lines are very short. It is a great time at Universal. The only thing I remember that was disappointing when we went at that time was that Mythos was closed.

Nah..like Damo said it's pretty slow during the beginning of December. I wouldn't spend the $$$ on the express passes.

Thanks, I appreciate it ... now if I can just convince my wife to ride the rollercoasters.

We'll be there the second week of December too....and I am thrilled to hear that the lines should be short. I suspected that. We went to WDW at that time of year once and it was really great-- double the staff (training the extras for the Christmas rush) and everything was decorated for Christmas.

And--I know I won't be able to get my DH to ride the rollercoasters...maybe we should meet up!?! :goodvibes

We are going to be at Universal on 12/12 and 12/13, haven't decided which park to do on which day. I think I can get her to do every ride except the Dueling Dragons ... and possiby the Hulk coaster. I have a question for you: I am new to these boards and have been trying to figure out some of the acronyms. I see people refering to DH, DW, DS, and DD. Am I right in assuming the first "D" means Disney and the following letters refer to husband, wife, son, and daughter?

Yep--
The "D" can stand for "Dear" or disney. It sure saves time when talking about family members like the MIL or BIL (mother-in-law...etc), Not to mention "WDW" and US/IOA!
Welcome to the DIS!
I will have my DD9 (almost 10) with me who will likely be adventureous enough to go on most everything. She is the one who dragged me onto the California Screamin' at DCA (Disney's Calif. Adventure- at Disneyland) last summer. DH can keep our DS5 company on the little stuff!
