I noticed they had these at Kroger. I was wondering if I could use them for tickets at the gate and shopping in the parks?

Universal gift cards don't work as easy as you'd think. You will need to exchange them at Guest Services for Universal bucks in order to use them in the parks. I don't think you can use them towards ticket purchases but I'm not sure.

We leave tomorrow and I was just thinking about running to Kroger and buying DD a universal card (at 7 I thought it would be easier than cash to keep up with for her) now I think I'll just have DH carry her money.

You can use them to purchase tickets but can't use them for shopping. To shop, you will need to exchange them for Universal bucks at Guest Services.
