how does attraction assistance actually work?

Does the whole party need to attend guest services?

Are we linked together with our tickets?

Please give me a dummies guide;
I know (long story) assistance will be given-simply have no idea how it actually operates...

You might also post on the Universal forum. Some folks don’t necessarily venture here to disABILITIES, which is primarily WDW.

Enjoy your vacation!

We went a few years ago with my MIL who uses an ECV. It wasn't as easy as Disney to navigate the lines. The lines aren't designed to accommodate an EVC, so they want you to transfer to a wheel chair to go through the line. We had no problem with that, but a lot of the places didn't have any wheel chairs for her to transfer into. The attendants would stand around like they weren't sure what to do. Most of the time, they took us in the back way on her EVC due to this. We have said next time, we will bring her wheelchair too so we don't have to look for one for her to transfer.

Just agreeing with this post...if you have a mobility issue and use an ECV I found US/IOA to be the pits compared to WDW. Not just were there no WC's to transfer to...the attraction attendants had no clue what to do. Hopefully they have improved over the past couple of years but it definitely made me not want to go back. You also need someone with you who can push a WC so splitting off from your group isn't an option...assuming they have WC's there for transfers.
