Heh. I've collected all the necessary info I need and just e-mailed myself the thankyou/goodbye letters I am going to print out at home on my personal letterhead.

Someone signed my Guestbook today, and this is what she said:

"I saw your picture (many, in fact) on www.disboards.com and either you HATE having your picture taken or else you are always having a MISERABLE time at US/IOA.

If you hate having your picture taken, maybe you shouldn't have so many taken. OTOH, if you are always having a miserable time at US/IOA, why do you go so often?"


I have many pictures on the disboards? And I look like I'm having a miserable time?? LOL!!!!! This cracked me up. To whoever Sara is, 1.) I rarely get my picture taken. I don't mind my picture taken at all...but I have some self-confidence issues that sometimes come out in the pictures. Depends (though you have to admit I look pretty dang happy in the picture with the orange GB - under my username!!! hehe). I get my picture taken around 1 to 3 times a week...which is very little compared to how many pictures I TAKE!

Also, where on earth did she get the idea I have a miserable time at Universal? LOL!!!!! Do I ever have a miserable time? Oh wait...once...when there were no GB Shows or Graveyard Revues because of rain. That kinda sucked...but other than that -- no way!!! And if I hated Universal....why would I spend so much time and money on a website? Some people really confuse me!!

Sorry....I was just so confused with this guestbook entry!!!

anyway, what's up everyone? Things have been kinda quiet around here!

I went back to Universal on Sunday (had a BLAST by the way!! LOL) and I'm going next Monday too!!! (Sara, check out my messageboard sometime....you'll hear my constant "I can't wait until such and such a day because I go back to Universal!!! Whoop whoop!!")

There was something I've been wanting to post, by now I've forgotten! I'll return with that later!!!!

Hello Christine, I've just been really busy at my new role at nursery (promotion) which took some time and lots of "homework" to get used to.....and.......some personal stuff that's been keeping me "amused" during the cold evenings

Wonder where JessicaR is then? I might send her an email later - see how she is doing.

yeah. My mom was thinking it was probably some jealous girl or something. I dunno...but whatever!!! Yes...most of my "emotion" comes through my eyes, when it comes to pictures especially. I've always been told that.

Anyway, I still wonder about JessicaR. I know she's supposed to have another trip coming up...but am not sure now. Hopefully things are going okay over there for her and her family.

Flyfly--LOVE your avatar--so much better than Kermie (not saying there is anything wrong with Kermie, folks). Whatever happened to "if you do not have anything nice to post, than don't post anything at all!" Just common courtesy folks. I think your mom's jealousy thought is on target. Heck, I know I am jealous of you and all of your Universal trips, but I can not imagine bashing you in a post! I am sorry that happened.

Hi to you too Selina! So glad you have had a preoccupation for all of those long cold winter evenings. Congratulations on the promotion. Hope the work load settles down soon. Had any good drinks lately ?

hehe thanks! I had tried to replace it a long time ago...but to no avail. I was able to get it to work this time...with a even BETTER picture to use!!! Not the best quality, but it's all good!!

Yeah...I wonder why some people are like that...I mean, I know I'm lucky to go to Universal so often. I wasn't always this "spoiled." I used to have it where I'd go to one themepark for one day, once a year...and that was until I got a Fun Card for Busch Gardens...but even then I only went 2 or 3 times in a year. And we only did that for one year.

Ooooh! I may apply to work at Universal over the summer. My mom and I worked out a deal where we'd stay at a hotel for a few nights a week, each week during the summer. It'll give me the chance to be at the place I love. I know I can't get paid for watching my favorite show (unless I get assigned to Twister lol), but that's okay! Who'd like to be one of my references?

I bet DM would be a great reference not to mention a certain BJ and assorted GB's. That would be fun, I think. Hopefully it would not ruin the experiece for you. It sounds like DM likes his job and still manages to enjoy the parks. I just can't figere that you would really make much $$ if you are staying in hotels while you are there. Perhaps HR has some ideas on housing, I would imagine that there are a lot of young folks who arrive in Orlando for the summer to make some $$ and need a reasonable place to stay. Or maybe some natives like to escape the FL heat by leaving their condo for points North? Or maybe one of your Orlando area friends has a room they would like (their parents) to rent for a couple of months. Not that asked for my opinion or that this is ANY of my business.

Oh no, we are definitely considering all of our options, but a friend who works at Universal has a great deal at a hotel, and would be happy to help us get the excellent weekly rate. My mom said she'd help contribute to paying for the hotel, and I'd put in some money as well. It's all for something to do over the summer you know? I'm not really in it for a lot of money per se...just out for the experience!

I have family in Lakeland I may stay with instead...definitely would help SOME with the drive! It'll cut it in half!! So that's another thing we're thinking about too!!

Yeah, I'm considering asking DM Yo...DM....wondering if you'd mind? I'd love to ask the GBs...but they wouldn't know me well enough for a job reference standpoint...you know what I mean? The most they could say is that I'm definitely dedicated....LOL!!!

IMGONNAB40: I recently went to a new coffee/bar - lots of interesting coffees - usual kind, but also warming ones. The best one I had was a liquor coffee (I chose Grand Marnier) topped with cream and marshmallows........it's really delicious, then I had another liquor coffee (this time I chose Benedictine) plus dollopps of cream and sliced banana......Mmmmm it was heaven! It was a particularly cold night and we were sat by a roaring log fire, which made it all seem so inviting.
