Are these two seperate parks? can you do them both in one day? Do they require seperate tickets?

As for your resorts question, you can check out annual passholder rates and AAA rates by entering APH and AAA as codes on the Loews website booking feature. If you have the Entertainment card, you have to call 1-800-BEASTAR to check for discounts through this card. Some people just prefer to call anyway. Note that there is a Universal resorts board to which might be helpful.
