I haven't found any messages on this board about Universal Studio in Hollywood. I'm not sure where to post my question, so I'm trying my luck here.

We are taking our 2YO and 4YO to the Universal Studio in Hollywood. DH's company is hosting the day, so we don't have to worry about what pass to buy.

I'm trying to plan our day in advance so I can tell my 4YO what to expect when we go to the park. I tried looking at the Universal Studio website, but there is not a lot of information on what's available to a 4YO. I haven't measured her, but I think she's between 38-40" tall, so there isn't a lot of rides she can go on. Does anyone know are there any rides in this park that my 2YO can enjoy as well.

I have a Kids eat free coupon (with the purchase of a full-price adult meal) at the following restaurants on the City Walk: Daily Grill, Gladstone's Universal, Shanghai& Mein, Versailles, Wasabi at CityWalk, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, and Karl Strauss REstaurant and Brewery. Which of these restaurants are best for kids 2 and 4yo?

Any comments you have about the Universal Studio in Hollywood would be most appreciated.

Thanks a million!

We went about 6 months ago and there's not a whole lot for younger kids there. My youngest had just turned 3 at the time and he was able to do Shrek, Studio Tour, Terminator 3D show (scared the heck out of him!!), Waterworld (he loved it!).
If I remember correctly, the only rides are Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. Most everything else was shows.
If you've been to Universal Orlando, you may be a bit disappointed in Universal Hollywood--I was!

No, we've never been to Universal Orlando. I just don't want to get my 4YO's hope up because she thinks we are going to a park similar to Disneyland.

I'll let her know there is not a lot of rides, just shows.

Thanks.

My oldest was almost 5 when we went, he's been to US/Orlando a few times, so he was expecting more! I wish I had researched it better before we went so I could let him know what to expect.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a lot of fun!!! Just not all the rides like Disneyland and other theme parks.
Waterworld is a great show. Just be warned...if you sit in the "water zones" you WILL get very wet!
