Universal Stay??????????

Hi all, I need some help. We are DVC members but are banking points this year to do the 7 day cruise next year(that's the plan depending on what I can figure out ) I really want to try Universal Studios in late Sept. or Oct. The TA I talked to quoted us 5 days on property with a pass for 3 days for the 3 of us (me DH & 6yr old DD) airline tickets from Philadelphia to Orlando with transpotation to the hotel for $1999.
I called US and they quoted me 5 night Royal Pacific stay,length of stay passes,front of line pass,lunch OR dinner in the parks or at wet&wild(I'm not sure what this means, and air transportation and to and from the airport for $2143.63.
I'm not sure if these are good deals or how to find better deals.... This just seems a little high,but I don't know. I guess I am asking for advice on if these are good deals. We would like to stay on property. If anyone can offer any advice or guidence it would be greatly appreciated.

hmm, might not be that bad. Figure

200/room x 5 nights = 1000 (some type of discount, tax included)
5 day passes for 4 @90 = 360
airline tix for 4 @ $150 RT (estimate) = 600 (tax included)
transport 80 both ways (estimate) = 160

thats a total of 2120. Then you have the dinners???

I guess it all depends on what you could get the individual things above for. You might get a room cheaper with a good discount. Same for airline tix, you might catch a good deal on those, say 100 RT. All depends. For the price, considering it is all "no hassle," it doesn't seem too bad..........

Thanks for the reply,I was just seeing if anyone could advize,as I am not to good at this and some people seem to know the deals and who to ask and what to ask for. I'm going to call again tomorrow,I just wanted to see if anyone could help me with questions to ask. I know NOTHING about "getting upgrades" and such or free things you get if you know what/who to ask etc.

Of course you still have the dinner/lunch/wetn'wild thing, but I have no ideal what the value is.

If you want to do it on your own:
Call 1-800-be-a-star. Ask what discounts are available for your dates. APH (annual passholder), AAA (auto club), FAN (universal fan club, MUST be a member, card to show at check in), or ENT (discount from entertainment books available at entertainment.com). Also, go to loewshotels.com and sign up for their free club, loewsblue. You may get a free welcome gift and if VERY lucky, a free upgrade (when available).

Just checked, see you are in NJ. Often you can get real cheap flights out of NY for 98RT/person. You could also check flyseal.com if you are close to allentown PA or willing to drive to Newburg NY. Their flights are usually 69 OW/person.

Go to https://tickets.universalstudios.com/USRG/us_store_secure2.jsp?merchant=KISSIMMEEBP and buy your tix. 5 days for the price of 2, good at both parks, only 89/person. You can use the will call (cheaper than shipping) and pick your tix up at the park kiosk when you arrive.

Airline tix, not sure, depends on where you are traveling from. I would check southwest, spirit, song, jet blue. You could aslo go to bestfares.com and check their quick fare finder. You should also check out mousesavers.com if you haven't already. They have a lot of info, more than JUST Disney.

Thanks !! See,this is what I was hoping for!! Someone nice enough to help me figure this out. I just saw a web special for AIRTRAN from Philly (our airport) for $54.00 per way $108 round trip. I'm pretty confident I can get them on Monday,they appear a lot. Since we didn't have this bright idea till today (we were going to not do a vacation this year,but today decided to see if we could work it out) So if we could do the airfare ourselves and take the Tiffany towncar for $60.00 or check on hotel transfer to and from the airport. Now with the "special" she told me about today 2adult lenght of stay passes come with the "package" I need to call tomorrow and see what they are charging for DD ticket,if it is more than the web special for her ticket I could have them deduct that also and buy on line. Now I think my company ia a member,I see those Hershey discount tickets and sesame place tickets all the time,but never asked about US before,again I can check that on Monday. I will go to LOWES now and check that out. Since we are trying to do a last minute think I really want to see if we can swing it. By the way,daughter will be turnin g 7 while we are there,do they do anything for that do you know?? I know Mickey usually calls her and we do a cake and all,but the last 4 years we were on a disney ship every year on her birthday so I don't know what anybody else does *LOL*
