They have now started to sell an AP that gives you full unlimited express pass. I wonder if that would ever happen here in Orlando or will they stick to the purchased one and unlimited for hotel guests. I hope they don't because that is one of the many features of why I stay onsite for. I would really think twice and stay offsite and buy this AP instead. Although there are plenty of more reasons to stay onsite but this could make it tough.

What are your thoughts.:confused3

Here is the AP page for Singapore:

I would be interested in an AP that gave full day express pass privileges depending on the price. We like to stay in a 2 bedroom villa, many times on Disney property (sometimes offsite) and don't like to change locations for the length of our stay. To get the full day express pass now, we sometimes reserve the cheapest resort room at Universal Orlando for the days we want to go to US/IOA but never actually stay in it.

if this happened they would lose alot of onsite reservations. that is definetly one of the perks to paying more for their hotels. :sad2:

It's almost double the price of the regular annual pass, so I'm not sure it would.

It would, however, give locals an option to use Express Pass without having to stay on site, although it would only pay off if they would have bought Express Pass anyway for some multiple number of days during the use of that pass.

Just want to clarify, you can also purchase the same unlimited Express option at the parks that the hotel guests get. :) It is available anywhere you buy regular Express.

I thought the VIP ticket included admission.

The VIP tickets do include admission, but the separate express is available as once per attraction or unlimited. So if you already have admission tickets to one or 2 parks for the day you can add express for 1 or 2 parks to use once at each ride or you can buy an unlimited option as well.

I had no idea you could buy the unlimited option separately. Does that show up online as a option? What is the price?

The unlimited option is not separate but included in the VIP ticket. It includes admission to the parks and unlimited express pass. I think it still has one day one park all the way to 7 days. The universal site is down now but I want to say they start at $170 to middle $300.

The unlimited Express Plus option is available separately for 1 park or both parks for the day, it is only available at the parks though, not online. (I work at Universal ticket sales. :) )

Ticket options range from 1-4 days (unless you do one of the specialty 14 day tickets) now with one park each day or the option to go park-to-park each day.

Can you give us the price comparisons. For example, when the express pass plus is 29.99-the VIP ticket is...

Since we don't have this info online, it would be nice to be able to know it.

It's really difficult to peg exact prices, but the lowest I have ever seen the VIP ticket was $159.99 and that might have been before the last ticket price increase. (It's been quite some time since I've seen that price.)

Here's an example of what the Express pricing was today (note that prices do fluctuate depending on the day):

One time at each participating ride:
- Universal only: $39.99
- IOA only: $59.99
- Both parks: $69.99

Unlimited express at participating attractions:
- Universal only: $62.99
- IOA only: $79.99
- Both parks (this price plus $120 is usually the price for VIP): $89.99
