So I just got an email saying they are offering a sale when you buy a Stay and Play ticket that they include a Universal Savings Booklet. Does anyone know what is included in this booklet?

I don't know what's in it, but I got the same email.....only the Universal Excitement pass you buy to get the booklet free was $85! ....so, I'm guessing the extra $10 is in the booklet.... :confused3 not going to get it anyway.....but, I AM curious as to what's in the book! :rolleyes1

yea same here...well here is my situation...I can get a travel agent rate for $65 with no coupon book or spend $85 and get the book :confused3 Decisions Decisions

Have 1 person in your group get the deal w/ the book, and have everyone else get the travel agent rate......would that work for you? :confused3

hmm very good idea!!!! I like that!!!!! hehe
It says the book saves over $150 on food and merchandise so it should be fine =)

i have received the booklet the last two years.

i think i had a thread on in last year.
if i can bring that up it lists what all was in it.

off the top of my head, there were 3 coupons of 20% off merch at the 2 main stores, one ioa and the other studios.

discounts on mythos, and some resturants.

dinner discounts at the hotels.
city walk discounts.

let me see if i can find that old thread.

That would be awesome if you found it. Basically we eat at small food services in the park and restraunts like Hard Rock, Margarittaville, Pat O;Brien's, the charachter breakfast, ect. places like that.

I'm huffy about it :guilty: as I bought the excitement pass last week at $75, when the book wasn't offered. I would have paid the extra ten bucks for the book as we're there for 5 days. Maybe I'll call and see if I can change it.... :sad2:

mac--sounds like APH discounts....is that what it seemed they were like? did the coupon booklet seem to have better discounts than using your AP?

Hi all,
We're @ UO now. I'm just waiting on my guys to get ready. Anyway, you can get the coupon book with the Excitement Pass. Just go by Guest Services & ask for one. I don't have time to list the contents, but will try to later today. IMHO, the book is a nice freebie, but I wouldn't base my ticket purchase on it. If you have a child that qualifies for kid's meals, it's worth more than it is to those of us who don't.

hey tarheelmjfan.......hope you're having fun!!! :wave2: hope you haven't encountered any problems!!!

i was looking through my old universal stuff and see i have two old booklets like the ones being given out now.

the last years, from 1993 since i started going annually to UO, i have bought the multi day passes when they had a special.

since 2002, special 6 week promos would come out and if you bought a multi day pass, you would receivce the coupon booklet for free.

i stil have 2 of them, one from last year.

like one poster said, lots of free kids meals with the adult meal and that didn't help me as my boys were teens then.

i know stores in city walk had deals like nu glow, margaritaville, nascar, nba city, etc.

in the park i see circus mcgurkus, capt america, etc on discounts.

one catch, some of them say good after 4 pm only.

the nice ones were the 20% off merch.

i bought the 5 day pass january 1st this year. when bealls promo ap came out, i called and they cancelled out my ticket pass and i bought the ap.
they applied the 103.xx that i paid on the pass towards the ap and i paid the difference.

i should have bought the ap years ago when burger king had the 2 year special with a renewal of $99 per year.

but now, i am all set for the next 2 years.

yes, bubba, the booklet is nice but the aph discounts are much better from what i see on the discounts it offers.

some years i used the AAA card for teh discounts in the park.
it was worth it but wanted to be a real universal groupie so i had to go for the ap.........

Just to let everyone know I bought the Universal excitement pass for $75 and I am getting the coupon booklet free. A few days after I bought the tickets I received an e-mail to fill out a short survey and I will receive the booklet for free and I just have to pick it up when I get there. I did print out the last page of the survey to bring with me. I have seen other people on these boards say the same thing happened to them. So with that said with the $85 ticket the booklet is not free like they said they are charging you $10 for it. Still a good deal but just wanted to let everyone know. :)

Just checking in to clarify.... We purchased the $75 ticket, & got the booklet for free from GS. I didn't have to take the survey to qualify. It is my understanding that the booklet is given to anyone who purchases electronic tickets. Back later with more details. :teeth:
