Hi.
Ive been looking on the Universal orlando website and am planning on booking a room for this summer.
I can see that you have to pay a deposit but does anyone know if you pay the remaining balance when you check-in as it doesnt seem to mention it anywhere on the site!
Thanks

You pay the rest on check out or if you want they can issue you with an advanced payment form to be pay bits of each time

Yep,like Irish Guy said, you can pay by faxing the APF with the amount you want to pay, or just pay it when you checkin, or checkout, its basically up to you.

We have two rooms booked for Aug. through AAA. They are room only since we buy the tickets at AAA for the discount. We will pay for the rooms when we checkout. We haven't even put down a deposit since it is a room only reservations. The only time I have ever put down a deposit was when we would book a package deal. Haven't done that in years since with AAA the discount for the room and tickets is cheaper than the package.

How do you get this form. We are staying for 3 nights in Oct. and have paid for one night and I would really like this all paid for in advance. I just like to go and know that everything is paid for. Thanks for the help.

for me, i talked to accounting department.

they emailed me the form i needed to send back.

it is very easy to set up the payment plan.

i believe robert does it also, or has done it also before.

We did prepayment on our last trip and it was very easy. As has been said, they sent us the form, we filled it out and sent it back. They needed a copy of I think our drivers license. I do remember they needed a copy of some ID. We decided on the amount we wanted charged to our credit card. In this case, we used a debit card and had no problem.

Just keep in mind if you use this avenue of prepayment, and decide to use the room charging priviledges in the parks, it will change the way your "room rate prepayment" will appear on your overall bill.

Say you have completely prepaid your room cost. You have checked in and have decided you want to go to the gift shop at IOA and buy a $25 shirt. The next day you will view your account on the tv, and find that they have removed the cost of one day room rate AND the cost of the t-shirt at the gift shop from the prepaid amount you may have thought was set aside only to cover the cost of your room rate.

It is a little tricky, but if you prepaid because you are on a budget and are using this as a way to lessen the final cost, you just have to keep track of the amount you are spending in the parks to make sure you have not overdone it and defeated the purpose of prepayment. If you don't plan to activate room charging privies, then you will be fine. We usually just prepay the cost of the room rate, then add an additional amount that gives us a set spending amount in the parks. We divide that spending amount by the number of days we are staying, then we stick to that spending amount each day. Makes it really easy and we usually end up getting a little refunded. Just works better for us that way.

The requirement of a deposit depends on what avenue you use to make the reservation. Universal, Loews, or a 3rd party like AAA will have different requirements.

Yes if you book through 3rd party like AAA , or TA you will need to pay them.
I have booked through Loews and Universal site[not package] and they emailed me the form, i just keep it on the Computer and print out one when i need it.
