Pre-shows are nothing new to theme parks. Disney has them. But does anyone else feel as though Universal's are simply too long? And I get it - It's a way to keep people entertained while waiting in line, but if you're someone who has been on the attraction before, some of them REALLY drag on. First one that comes to mind is Shrek. You're stuck in an overcrowded room standing up for about 10 minutes, having the story of the 1st movie explained to you. It's way too long (in my opinion). Minion Mayhem, Fast and Furious (from videos I've seen), ET, Simpsons, Jimmy Fallon, Gringotts.. I think having something going on as the line moves is a great idea. Disney's seem quicker and more interesting. Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster. About 2-3 minutes and you're in. Is there anything Universal could do to make these pre-shows a bit less painful?

I like some of the pre shows with simpsons the best

I’m never in that section long enough to see all the character interactions

I’m probably weird, but I actually enjoy the Preshows. Yes, they are the same each time, but so is the attraction. The one for Despicable Me is probably my favorite. I think I may like the preshow for that as much or more than the actual show.

I’d rather be entertained by a preshow than stand around doing nothing. You’d be waiting either way. This is actually something I like better about Universal than Disney. There seems to be more going on in the queues to keep you entertained while you wait.

I also enjoy the preshows. You're waiting the same time either way, unless your ride is the first ride of the day. Otherwise they're timed to the ride I'm sure and until the ride is vacated, you'll be hanging around waiting... might as well be getting into the mood. Plus for many people it is the first time, or first time of the trip, and no reasonable way to separate for them.

You think those preshows are long, steer clear of Sea World's rides...

I don't really find that them painful either, although some are a bit long. I enjoy the cartoons in Minions especially. Single rider line at Gringotts does skip the whole elevator thing which is good, as I've seen it enough times. OP, have you ridden FOP at AK? That preshow is long and annoying to me.

Jaws and original King Kong were the best. I concur about the simpsons, but you never see it with express pass

I hate the pre shows. They grate my nerves and if I could skip them, I would.

I would still be in line, but I would not be secretly screaming inside.

I often wonder if the people that come up with the preshows actually watch them. I esp hate the cartoon ones.
