Universal "partner"hotel

What does that mean for guests aside from it being close? We are staying at Double tree @ US entrance using HHonors points. I read that with a package you can get early park admission but with us using points I assume that isnt an option for our family? Thanks

I'm no sure what you mean by points but when we stayed at that Double Tree we were granted early park admission by showing our room key which was also universal themed with pictures of attractions on it. We also walked to the park every day. It's a bit of a walk for sure but doable.

re: points- we do not need to pay money for the room. My DH stays in Hilton hotels for travel so we accumulate points which are used for nights. We have DOuble tree and hilton Bonnet creek for free this trip.
What I had read but looks incorrect, is that I need to book a package to get the early admission but if I can show room key, that would be great. We are debating the walk since I have 2 kids(6/8.) Ill see what it looks like when we arrive.

You definitely do not get early admission by staying at a partner hotel unless you book a package through the Universal website. I think even that will be disappearing soon or become very limited now that Cabana Bay is open. There just isn't enough stuff open during early admission to allow all those people to ride stuff.

This must have changed since I went. We stayed at the partner hotel the year the original HP area opens. We did not have a package and were granted early access anyway. But things change.

I agree with damo cause we stayed at a partner hotel before and didn't get early entry and like damo said with cabana bay now open I think it's about to become a thing of the past for the partner hotels
