universal parks april 18-25

how are thw crowds during the week of 4/18 through 25? any special events or spring breaks that would adversely effect the numbers? thanks

Right now, the parks are pretty empty. I can't imagine that it will get busy by next week. It will get busy on Saturday as Mardi Gras crowds start arriving.

I hope you are right. I just found out we won't be arriving at Universal until about 11:30 am Tues. I hope the lines aren't too bad.

But there is Grad Bash April 22nd and 23rd.
I said that in the other thread talking about field trips.

I would go early in the morning on those days, and then go back to your hotel at 4pm for dinner and the pool.

There is a special senior thing where they can visit the city walk clubs from 5pm to 8pm. Why seniors would want to visit a club that early is beyond me, so I don't think many will do it. The event itself is from 7pm to 2am and I don't even think IOA will be open to outside people at that time.

If it were me, I wouldn't be any where near the parks at say 4pm, when everyone shows up. I'd get out of there and go somewhere else

Most northeast high schools have the week of April 18th off. I think you will see an increase in activity compared to this past week. Check out the Disney World web site and see how late the parks are open. If they are open later than normal, you can bet there will be crowds everywhere in Orlando. It won't be as bad as Easter week, but it will be more crowded than this past week.

Both Disney and Universal doesn't increase their hours until the 25th and 26th which makes me think they don't expect larger crowds until then.

Grad bash only effects IOA and citywalk. Last year Grads started showing up at 5:00 PM at Citywalk and then walked in mass to IOA starting at around 6:00 PM. IOA closes at 6:00 PM those two nights to accomodate the grad bash.

MA has their school vacation next week (4/18) and then NH has their's the following week (4/25).

Our area has spring break starting on the 23rd of April. Many people head to Florida! Wish I was one of em...will have to wait till Memorial weekend when its sure to be packed!
