Universal Orlando Website

I was on the UO website late last night checking for a link.

Tonight I go to the same site and completely different.


I had to reregister to get on the site

just checked again and the original site came up

does not make sense......
unless they are in the process of changing the website


anyone else having this issue?

Same here- the last few days first I got a new website which is hard to navigate but when I went in to check hotel availability somehow I got the old website?? It's happened a few times so not sure what's up either?

i saw the new booking site and was happy when i saw the old booking site a few minutes ago.

when the new site was up, had to link here and there to find what i wanted.
and then the next link would not function.


i liked the old site as you could pull up from the links from that first page.
this new one they are putting together, not so.....


i'm glad you posted as now it does seem we will have a permenant change and i wasn't the drinks confusing me......

I got that new look website on Friday last week, I was on DH laptop. When I went on with iPad 10 minutes later it was the original website..........weird.

I was finding a link for someone who hadn't looked at the website first. But, it wasn't as clear.

Just checked on my iPad and it's the new updated website I'm seeing.

For the last several weeks it has been different depending on which browser I used. At least since the middle of January, when I would use the Edge browser on Windows 10, it has been consistently the new site. Using Chrome, until last week, has been the traditional site. The old site still works depending on your browser allowing redirects...the new site starts with ww2 instead of www, but the www is redirected from old links, unless your browser is set to not allow redirects.

Still, the naming structure is different and I am sure the old site will disappear before too long.

There are some good changes on the new site (park hours calendar is easier to navigate), but there are also omissions as well (no daily showtimes...so I still use the old site link to those, for now).

I guess we need to get used to it and maybe contact them with issues.

That is my biggest issue with the new site...the nesting of items is not overly intuitive either. I actually created a bookmark folder in Chrome to actually navigate the new site to places I am accustomed to, because it made it easier for me to navigate the new site.

I'm still on the fence about it...willing to give it a try, but it is not great to start with. If you are upgrading, you need to first make sure you are not taking functionality away from your starting point (the old website)...I think they are missing some functionality...mainly intuitiveness...from the old site.

Yes, they are slowly testing a new site design. I got the new site the other day and it seems like it was made for a different screensize then my laptop. Almost like it was designed for portrait. I had to scroll up and down a lot.

Click on the box to get the calendar, scroll down to see the calendar. Scroll back up, click on the box to set the number of people, scroll down to see the number dropdown, etc.

Overall, I've always thought their site is confusing. I can't imagine how confusing it would be for someone who doesn't have a basic understanding of their hotel structure, ticket packages, etc. Hopefully, this new design helps.

I did not have to log in, though. Odd that it would force a login.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't log into anything (though I've never tried til now). Other than passholder login, which takes me to a generic page about benefits.

I hate the Universal Orlando website. Every time I go and look at something, when I go back to the choices page, is only shows the first 9 choices again. I have too keep pressing the + to show the rest. Or I have to click on the link and open a new window so I don't lose my place. Very poorly designed.

On some pages, like rides, it shows you some and you have to click the + to load more.

It's really bad with trying to look at restaurant menus... ugh.

When I go to log into the site this is what I get right now:

i saw that the other night and did the personal profile
clicked on all the ones that pertained to my interest

then on your profile, it will list the priority ones you clicked.

Hmm I haven't gone too far into that part yet. It's been a while since I logged in anyways. Sounds like they are still in the process of updating or it's a weird glitch due to their update causing continual login requirements when you should only have to login once and that's certaintly frustrating.

Yeah - the new site is awful.
The old site was not great either, but at least you could add you AP to your account and see the expiration date etc.
was always ridiculous that the AP login was not the same as the general login and not linked in any way - but now amazingly it is worse
