Hello everyone. I've only stayed at the RPR only once and I am planning on staying at the PBR this August. While I've gone to UO many times I've only eaten at a few sit down restaurants: Mythos, buffet at RPR and Bubba Gumps. I was wondering what are some of your favorite sit down restaurants at UO? I might be staying there for a week so I was hoping to get a taste of the best they got to offer. It could be any table service restaurant from the parks, hotels or Citiwalk. I was just wondering what some of you would recommend and what your favorites are. Feel free to write as many as you like. Thanks so much for taking the time. :)

I've only eaten at one sit-down by my knowledge, and that was Lombard's. We must've eaten an early breakfast as we were starving as soon as it opened. We were right by it at lunch time so we went there. We were the only ones in there when it opened, and it wasn't crowded when we left. We sat by the fish tank and it didn't take us long to finish. That's probably due to the fact that the entire park was empty and it was early, but that was a plus. The food was good, the fish tank was nice, the waitress was nice, and I think we were fairly pleased with the price, too. I'd definitely go back.

i like finnegans at the studios and hrc at city walk.

love mythos at ioa.......hit it everytime i visit.

i have eaten at lombards and only have good things to say about the place.

bubba gump was a disappointment to me with the service and cost of the food.
latin quarters, nba city are also regular places i eat at in city walk.
i have been going to universal since the year after it opened.

probably have eaten at most of the places in the park, at the onsite hotels and at city walk

Parks: eaten at all 4...liked 'em all.

Hotels: only eaten at Mama Della's @ PBH. Altho very good and generous sized portions, on the expensive side for what it was (italian).

Citywalk: You MUST eat at Margaritaville. We always hit NASCAR and tried NBA City last year (NOT basketball fans here)...to our surprise...was very good.

Those are my recommendations...have fun!

I loved the poolside dining at both RPR and PBH ~ generous portion sizes, very tasty, and oh so relaxing!

Both Emeril restaurants are great along with the PALM steakhouse at Hard Rock. Mythos is a must every trip for me as well.

Any favorites from the resorts?

Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific is great for dinner. Liked it MUCH better for dinner than lunch.
Breakfast at Islands in the Royal Pacific is great as are their other meals.
In City Walk we love the Latin Quarter. Margaritaville is always fun too.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Mythos is IOA.
In US we always enjoy Lombards Landing for a nice lunch or dinner. We find it to be a relaxing break from the day for lunch.

Hotels: I have tried all of the restaurants at RPR and have enjoyed them all. Enjoyed the Kitchen at HRH. Haven't tried any of the restaurants over at PBH yet, I will be on this trip.

Parks : I have tried Mythos, Lombards and Confisco Grill, all are worth going back to imho.

City Walk : Tried Hard Rock, Margaritaville, NBA City, Bubba Gump and Nascar.

Favorites thus far: Anything over at the RPR, NBA City, Mythos and The Kitchen. Really though, I don't think I ever had a bad table service meal on Universal property.

We enjoy Margaritaville, its fun, good food and have always had good service. NBA City is good, we will skip Nascar Cafe from now on, Jakes at the Royal Pacific was suprising good with great service. There is a brick oven pizza place at the Portifino on bay level, cannot remember the name, they made sandwiches, by no means a sitdown meal but we really enjoyed sitting outside at night overlooking the bay, good pizza, bottle of wine and they use to have violinist strolling about.

Thanks Bubbasmom! Thats it we really enjoyed it. When my boys were much younger they enjoyed sitting on the stools watching the pizza bake. Then sit outside and enjoy pizza and the view.

Sounds yummy! Is their pizza like the pizza from Splendido? We loved that pizza.

Actually, I like Splendido's pizza better than Sal's. Whether it's from the same place or not, idk...but it does taste different. (There's a pic of it from Splendido in my TR from '09 & a pic of Sal's pizza in '08 TR)

To me, Sal's is just okay. I think it's because it's thin crust and I'm not a big fan of the thin.

Now...Louie's at the Studios...:thumbsup2
