Of course it's a hard ticket event,it's the premier Halloween event in the nation. It's very crowded especially on weekends and the closer in the month it gets to Halloween. It's usually held at Universal studios Thursdays through Sundays and some Wednesdays.Universal will close at 5pm with Islands of Adventure staying open until 7-8pm.It has been held in the past at Islands and in both parks but for the last 5 years or so it's only been at Universal and using several soundstages located between IOA and Universal. At 5pm they close the park and start transforming the park,if you're already inside the park and have a ticket you can stay in what they call the Stay and Scream area where they usually let you out around 6pm to do the 2-3 houses that are open even though the actual start time is usually 6:30pm.If you don't do the Stay and Scream area and go on a busy day it's near impossible to see all the houses and shows in one night without buying an express pass which are pretty expensive.I've been to like 19 of 23 years of the event only missing a few years in the mid 90's,the event gets more popular every year so multiple nights or doing it commando style are becoming necessary to get it all in.
