If you got tickets to Universal but cant go to both parks, which would u pick? studios or Ioa?

I think a lot depends on what types of rides you really like and whether you are Harry Potter fans or not.

Personally, if I could only go to one I would go to Studios. I'm not a coaster rider or a Harry Potter fan. I love the Mummy and MIB and the shows at Studios. At Studios the only rides I skip are RRR and the Simpsons. At IOA I skip Hulk, the tea cup type thing next to Hulk, Dr. Doom, Flight of the Hippograf and Dragons Challenge.

My kids would pick IOA. They love coasters, any type of a thrill ride and Harry Potter.

Hard choice..Before we had gone to either we would have thought IOA appealed to us more. After our first trip , we found that we loved the studios more..I agree with the PP..Alot will depend on what your preferences are.I would look at both and see which one interests you more and go with it.You can't go wrong with either

That is a very hard choice. In IOA we love the Harry Potter area and Spiderman and I love Dr Seuss. However I think that for us there is more to love in the Studios. We aren't big coaster people either but no trip is complete without a ride on the Mummy's Revenge.

If you are big HP fans, then def IOA. However, I would agree with others that I prefer the Studios. I think there is more to do there.

agree with PPs. Lots more in the Studios, but if you are HP fans, you need to go to IOA!

It depends on a lot of things, for example if it's a cold or stormy day you would automatically go with the studios since IOA has several water rides that you wouldn't want to ride in 50 degrees as well as the two big coasters that would close in bad weather. When IOA first opened I went to that park several hundred times and at that time I would tell you IOA was the greatest park ever created,I still think it is a great park but since it opened the only major addition has been Potter.I've always loved the studios especially since it usually hosts HHN and Mardi Gras and that many of the attractions have movie themes and are indoors which always helps when the weather is hot, cold or rainy. It still has several thrill rides and I've always liked the atmosphere.Once all three additions that are being added to the studios are finished my answer will obviously be the studios,IOA is going to have to play catch up and start another major addition which is rumored to be going into JP.

I didn't make it to the studios when we went but IOA was amazing!!! I loved spiderman & harry potter the best 2 rides I've ever been on!!! The harry potter land was awesome too... I can't waait for them to bring it to California!!!

I would choose IOA.
Just go to the Universal website and look at all the attractions and decide which you would enjoy more.

If I only had 1 Day in Orlando, I'd put them in this order:

1. Universal Studios
2. Islands of Adventure
3. Disney Hollywood Studios
4. Magic Kingdom
5. Epcot
6. Animal Kingdom

If you went to, and loved, Disney World as a kid - then for the nostalgia factor, I'd switch #3 and #4.

If you are a foodie and want to indulge, then #1 and #2 become a dead heat and you can switch #5 and #6. Epcot has a tremendous variety of foods available, but it will only encourage you to eat more crappy food. It's like taking a culinary tour of elementary school cafeterias around the world.

Right now I would say IoA because of Spiderman and the WWoHP. Also love Jurassic Park area and eating at Mythos.

When the new HP area opens at UO it will be a much more difficult choice!

I couldn't choose one over the other

So I would split the day up and would get a 1 day park to park ticket

Absolutely! Scrimp a little on lunches or coffees or whatever and get a one day two-park pass. I wouldn't be able to choose.:)

It's a really tough choice. Both parks are brilliant and I love things about both but I think I'd end up swaying towards IOA. I guess I enjoy the theming more because of my interests. I'm a total Marvel geek, I loved the Harry Potter books and Jurassic Park is one of my fave films. So I could easily spend the whole day there.

My family would choose IOA no question. But if you have younger kids who don't like coasters and you would prefer to see more shows then the Studios would be the best choice.
