We are planning a trip august 1-9. Plan to do Disney on aug. 1-4 and US and IOA 5-8. We are staying off site for disney and on for US. Should we do in this order or do US first because lines may be longer at disney over weekend? This is first time to US and IOA. Have 14, 12, 10 and 5 yr old.

Definitely Disney first - it is so relaxing to finish your trip with time at an onsite hotel at US and Front of the Line access to all the rides. It would be too hard to go back to Disney after experiencing that first!

I also agree Disney first since you are staying on-site at US. Once you experience FOTL, it would be so hard to wait in the lines at WDW.:thumbsup2

I agree - Disney first. Disney takes a lot more energy. USO/IA are very relaxing if you are staying on site.

another vote for Disney first :thumbsup2 - you will be able to relax and unwind onsite with FOTL and being so close to the parks

I've done it both ways and I would definitely do Disney first. FOTL will spoil you. We ended up very frustrated with WDW fastpass system after experiencing FOTL. Also, WDW touring totally exhausts me, especially in the heat of the summer. Universal is more relaxing because everything is more compact with less travel time. We get so much accomplished in a morning that we can go back to the hotel and relax/swim until we want to head back at night or dinner at CW. If you have children, they will also get frustrated with the lines at WDW if you do Universal first with FOTL - at least my son did the first and last time we did Universal with FOTL before WDW.

Yes, Disney first. We recently came back from doing Universal for 3 days, then Disney for two and then Universal for 3 more. We found ourselves very impatient at Disney. 30 minutes waiting for a bus going each way drove us nuts. The lines and crowds and were so much worse at Disney and the quality of the hotel (AKL) kept us saying, "This certainly isn't Universal". We didn't even get turn down service at the AKL. That was disappointing considering we spent $350/night.

I hope you don't need more opinions after that but I agree with everyone.

Definitely Disney first.

With all of this praise for FOTL, I'm going to hold all of you personally responsible if I'm letdown next weekend at Hard Rock.;)

I fyou are staying on site do Disney First. We did it one year and boy were we sorry we did USF/IOA first. The FOTL is really a spolier and to then go wait on line in WDW was really annoying . Do Disney first and USF/IOA last more relaxing to do it this way as well..

Enjoy .

ITA! Disney First, specially if you are going to be there over a weekend, leave the weekend for USO, you'll enjoy it so much more! Nothing like FOTL (really more like Express Passes) all the time! HTH
:thumbsup2 ;) :cool1:
