We are thinking of taking a quick weekend trip to Orlando. My kids want to do MNSSHP. They are too young for HHN. We really wanted to spend one day at universal though, but the parks close so early because of HHN. So my question is if we stay Friday in a universal hotel that has express pass benefits, do you think on saturday that we would have enough time to enjoy most of the parks before HHN (we have been once before in 2012, but i know a lot had been added)? Or do you think the parks would be so crowded, because of the HHN crowds and being Halloween that it wouldn't be worth it? My kids really want to see new parts of WWOHP and new rides, and we would have P2P one day ticket. Unfortunately more time and different days are not possible due to work and school schedules. Just seems like a crazy amount of money for one day $1000) Thanks in advance.

parks could increase in crowds later afternoon for those coming in for hhn.
since saturday is halloween, could be that locals won't be in the parks as they might plan to take their kids trick or treating that day.
our area only has trick/treating in daytime hours of 2-5:30.

no idea if orlando is set up that way also.

if you only have that one saturday for the parks, go early and use the express lines as much as possible.

some potter rides do not have express lines.

probably no one is biting as we are too far out to speculate on how the crowds will be at this time.

once hhn is open in late september, we can get an idea how large the saturday crowds are.

usually saturdays are the crowded day of the week at the darkside parks.

Good advice. Saturdays will always be busy.

Thanks for replies so far. so even with front of the lines for most attractions, you don't think we'll be able to see everything by 5? can you add a second day before leaving the parks for the same price? we would only be able to stay until noon the second day but...I guess it is a possibility?

you can add another day to your one day ticket
do it before you leave the park on day 1.
it is cheaper to add a day than to have to buy a new ticket just for one single day.

even if you only can stay until noon on day 2, you will be able to enjoy more of the park and maybe pick up some places you missed the day before.
