Universal on a Saturday

How bad will Universal be on a Saturday in August? The 24th to be exact. I think that will be the only day we will be able to go. i would just as soon skip it,but my kids are dieing to go.I know the heat will be bad,how about the crowds? Thanks

Well we went the last week of August last year (Aug 25-30), and it wasn't too bad.

Saturdays are generally the busiest days.

School will be back in for most of the Southern states at that time of year, it might put a dent in the crowds. Generally the locals hit the park like a bomb on Saturdays. Will you be staying onsite? If you are then the crowds won't matter. If not, use Universal Express as much as possible. Most of Universal Studios rides are indoors so you won't suffer the heat too much.
