Hello from an almost snowed in Philadelphia :cold::cold: Since it is going to be snowing outside, let's plan my Universal vacation. I was at Universal for 1 day this past summer with my family (husband and 2 daughters) and we had a blast but obviously didn't get to do everything. My husband will be traveling for work over Thanksgiving week 2016 so I am taking my girls back to Universal along with my dad and sister. We are staying offsite and will be getting 3 day park to park tickets.

My question is, we will be arriving on Monday Nov. 21st and don't plan to go to Universal until Wed, Thurs, and Fri. I am trying to decide what to do on the Tuesday? Really don't want to do 4 days at Universal. My girls want to try Legoland, but that is an hour drive from Orlando. My dad mentioned doing one of the Disney parks for just one day, which is something we could do. Or we could just head to Downtown Disney, which we didn't get to on our vacation last August.

So I am looking for suggestions.

Thanks! :)

Well, I wouldn't hesitate to do 4 days at Universal, especially since adding a 4th day on to your tickets costs almost nothing...

I'd do Busch Gardens with an extra non-Uni day. Yes, it's an hour away, but there are shuttles if you don't want to drive, and it's got great coasters and neat animals. :-)

Orlando Eye is a lot of fun.......there's a few other things to see there too and they have a good few decent food places there now.

You could combine that with a visit to DTD.........that could pass a day between the two.

Although as biased as I am, I would go for the 4th day at Universal too.

Schumi's suggestion is good too! We did the Orlando Eye last time we were in Orlando and I was pleasantly surprised!

I almost feel bad about going to Orlando and not Disney. But I guess it is still a way off and I don't have to decide right now. I have thought about the Orlando Eye. We drove past it when we were there in August and the kids thought it was really cool.

Our active recovery days are WonderWorks with the magic show or Disney Springs (my wife loves T Rex, best bruschetta anywhere...I know, right?).

You could do the disney christmas party. You can get in from 4pm on a party ticket until midnight.

We usually do one day MNSSHP with our October Universal trips.

mini golf at citywalk and extra day at universal would work well though

I would not do Disney unless you decided to do the Christmas Party (not sure they are available for your dates). It costs so much for just one day.

Adding on another day to Universal would be the cheapest option.

Having a down day is great-do some shopping, hang out at the resort/hotel.

City walk . . . could kill most of a day right there. Mini golf, movie, long lunch at Margaritaville, shopping, night clubs later on - it can go by pretty fast.
