Universal Newbie

We are coming in December, it's our first time to Universal and I know 0, zip, nada, nothing about it. I am sure there is a ton of info but looking for a few highlights. Will be traveling with husband, daughter and my mother. We have two full days in the park. Suggestions?

Read the boards here including the stickies.......they have SO much info that you need already there in front of you.

Any specific questions......there always someone to answer any questions not covered or anything else.......

Once you look at the park maps, you can see what is in the parks
And the website lists info on about everything in the parks

From one Newbie to another, if you read the sticky's here and read up on a few pages here, you will just about have all you need. I would read some of the trip reports-those have been helpful to me. And any other questions you can't find answers to, I'm sure that the friendly folks here will be glad to answer. macraven, damo, and schumigirl are wonderful sources of knowledge!

One thing that I've done is make a list of rides and shows at each park that are of interests to us. I've also looked at menus to see what looks good and fits in our budget. I've also looked at several videos on youtube, there are some great vloggers out there....TimTracker is pretty good.

I'm finding that I'm way, way less stressed out about this trip than I would be about planning for WDW. Maybe it's because there are only 2 parks, but it just seems to be so much easier than Disney. No ADRs, no reserving FPs-just book a room, pick your tickets, have fun. I'll be there in a little more than a week, can't wait!
