Hi everyone,

Moving to Orlando from UK for a year to do the Disney international Program.

I'm looking at getting an Annual pass for Universal however I don't know whether to get the basic pass or premium, is it worth paying more for the premium?

Also (silly question) is it cheaper to pay for the pass in one payment than monthly?

Thanks!

There are 3 levels of passes....The first level(Power pass) wouldn't likely be good because you don't get free parking. The preferred is likely the most popular and imo the one to get....You get free parking and 10% discounts and no black out dates that the power pass has. The Premier pass includes a free ticket to HHN that can't be upgraded so you can only go once and you get free valet parking(Still have to tip)and preferred parking(Debatable if it's any good)and you also get free express after 4pm. The express pass is the best perk imo but it only allows you one ride per day which is a bit of a bummer.

If you pay monthly it's the same price except when it comes to renewing....Once you're on flex pay on renewal your payments jump up because of not having a down payment and you also don't get a discount that you'd get with paying in full.

I should have mentioned that I don't drive so the parking doesn't really matter that much to me, so I should get the premier pass for the discounts and HHN?

Just depends on how much you actually spend in the parks....Iirc someone said you'd have to buy $3000 worth of stuff for that 5% to make a difference. Plus me personally I plan on getting the frequent fear pass so you can go more than once to HHN. I've been there in the past and I usually get like 2 houses done in one night so it's a rip off for me to just get a free single day ticket. If you think the premier benefits are worth the extra cost then go for it. To me I don't think it's worth the added cost in it's current state. Then again I can't go to the parks everyday to take advantage of that 4pm express pass. If you go mult times a week then it might be worth it.

Because of the program, I don't think I would have time to visit Universal once a week. But I will be visiting as much as I can and take advantage of what the parks have to offer as I'm only there for 12 months. Plus the blockout dates might affect the only times I can go and I would probably use the after 4pm express pass. I think I will go for the Premium pass!

Thank you so much for your help!
