Universal MC Question.

I have a Universal MC and I got a letter stating that Universal and Chase will no longer be working together as of the end of this month and Chase is sending me a new card with a new card number. Anyone else heard of this?

Yes, there's a new Universal American Express Card and American Express is the new Official Card of Universal Orlando Resort.

I heard they are switching the universal studios card to the flexible rewards card.

you have up to june 29th to redeem the points with the chase program.


i haven't had an american express card in 30 years.
not sure how their flex point program works on what they can be redeemed for.

I'm confused now. Is Chase going to send out new MC that have a new number and no Universal logo or will Universal send out AMEX cards in place of the Universal MC?

Chase bank will send out new cards.

The AMEX universal studios card is issued by GE money bank (GEMB). Totally different banks.


The flexible rewards card okay, but not great. After the switch, we are going to call and have Chase convert the flexible rewards card to Chase Freedom. The chase freedom is a better rewards program.
