I don't know if I'm over-thinking or just used to over-planning Disney (probably that one).

My husband and I leave for our Anniversary trip in almost exactly a month. We fly in on a Saturday, spend 2 nights at Portofino, then have a cruise that leaves Monday afternoon. We have Park-to-Park tickets and the Express Pass since we're onsite. I love all things HP and DH is a thrill seeker/coaster lover (I'll ride almost anything once).

Can/should I really just wing it? Everything is really close, right, so we can just jump around if need be? I'm thinking we go to IoA first so we can hit Universal first thing Sunday morning for Gringotts. I want to definitely ride HE both ways. Beyond that, it's really no plan.

Any useful advise or tips?

overall just wing it.
do look at the site, www.universalorlando.com to see what is offered in the parks, hotels, city walk.
decide what you want to do basically, when you are on vacation there.

just knowing more about what is in the parks might give you a heads up on what you want to cover in those days.

if you are a repeat customer, you already know the basics.

Definitely can wing it!!

With staying onsite and having park to park you`re sorted. Both parks are so close together it`s easy even to walk between the two. Of course you have the HE to take you back and forward. Yes, make sure you do it both ways as it is different.

Good advice above about looking at the Universal Orlando website.

Wing it!!!

I like mine medium with garlic please.:P

No problems winging it-but if making plans is fun for you just peruse the UO website, and maybe check out the book "Universal Orlando". And this website has fun trip reports also.

Eat at Mythos if you can too!

I LOVE trip reports! I'm not loving the new website format - is there a separate folder for TR like "upstairs" (lol) for Disney? I think that helps a lot with ideas. I'm a visual learner ;)

i would think that the motherland side of the dis would have a forum for trip reports.

there are more forums there, the darkside only has 3 forums.

Yes we only have three forums........One for the Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure forum.......one for the Universal Orlando resorts and hotels........and the third one down is Universal Studios Orlando Trip Reports.
