Universal/IOA in December

We're going to be visiting Universal and Islands of Adventure in December and we were just wondering what the crowds are like. We'll be there the week of December 8th (to the 15th).. Has anyone been there during this time and if so, can you let me know if it will be necessary for us to buy the Express Plus Pass or if the lines will be short enough that we won't need them?? Thanks for your help everyone!!!

Your dates should have low crowds. We've been there during that time frame and its been quiet. If for some reason when you get there its busy you can always just buy the pass then.
