Hello. I am a married mom of 4. Our family ventured to WDW during our spring break this past April for a week and had a great time. On July 19, hubby and I ALONE will venture to Universal/IOA adventure for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. We will arrive late on the 19th and "do the parks" the 20th and 21st and possibly a few hours on the 22 before heading home- we are a 7 hour drive away but feel it will be worth the drive to "get away".....we love most any kind of ride......probably LEAST care for the spinning ones.......anyone care to give me any tips or any MUST-DO'S??? We also have city-walk passes and will probably check out the "night life" there. THANKS in advance.....

Would definately recommend the Spiderman Ride in IoA. So much fun. Also Revenge of the Mummy in Universal. I dont care much for rollarcoasters but i loved the Mummy. Also Jaws has to be done although it is a bit corny :)

We also did Shrek 4D, Twister, the Earthquake ride, ET, Terminator and Men in Black. I think for a first timer (as we were) you just want to squeeze as much in as possible. I think as long as you are there you should experiance as much as possible.

Hope this helps a bit

yess the 7 hour drive is definitely worth it!! my family drives 16 hours just to do Universal and IOA!! it doesnt bother us a bit. and yes spiderman and the Mummy are must dos as well as:
Universal -- jaws, men in black, E.T., Shrek 4d, jimmy neutron, terminator (and twister and earthquake if you have time)
IOA -- hulk, dr. doom, dudley do right, jurassic park, and dueling dragons (and popeye if you dont mind getting REALLY REALLY drenched)

as for restaurants, my personal favorites are Margaritaville(DEFINITELY must try it), Hard Rock Cafe, NASCAR Cafe, NBA City, and Mel's Diner. All of these are in City Walk except Mel's Diner which is in Universal. Hope this was of some help and Have Fun!!!!!
