Universal in July

Yes that's understandable, but we have a 21 day pass for Disney and plan to spend more time there than at Universal. Also we have the 3 FP each day for WDW which will hopefully help out. :goodvibes

I love RPR! Staying there for the 3rd time this September.

The reception is on Level 3 - which you go into from the main entrance but to get to the parks you go down to level 1 and round the pool. It is a little confusing depending on which tower you're based in but if you head to the pool and round it (or through it if you want) you'll hit the path to the parks.

One tip I can give you is that unless the boat to take you up to the parks is at the dock unloading when you walk past, it is almost always quicker to walk. It takes 5 minutes to IOA and maybe 8 to US. It is also I really nice walk and I think it wakes you up for the day ahead!

The restaurants at RPR are really good. Don't think you can make a wrong choice there.

Not sure if you've been to US before but if not then use single rider lines especially for Hogwarts/Gringotts and MiB if you can.

Hope you have a good trip!

Thanks fir the tips! We have been before but never stayed at Universal. In 2013 we went in October, so the crowds and heat weren't such a problem. This is our first " summer school holiday" visit in about 10 years so we might be flagging!

We have an American TA who keeps a check for any discounts for us and applies them immediately. I assume that they'll appear on the Universal USA site.
