Universal in December ??

We've just booked to go to disney this december and its our first ever december trip. I was just wondering whether universal decorates for christmas and if they have any special things going on? If anyone has any photos or a trip report or links to some great threads then I'd be soooo grateful

We will be in Orlando from 27th Nov to 6th Dec

Universal Studios has the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade every day during the Christmas season. Decorations are around the park and use floats/balloons not used in the parade.

IOA confines Christmas mainly to the Dr. Seuss area with Grinchmas, with that area being fully decorated. They do a great live action "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" using elements from both the original animated show and the movie. The music was arranged by the creative force behind Manheim Steamroller.

I called this morning. Was told the christmas activities will probably not start until the second weekend in December this year. I was bummed we will be there the 3rd-5th.

Wow...that's late this year. The decorations will be going up in early November but Grinchmas and the Macy's parade apparently are starting late this year...bummer.

Don't forget breakfast with the Grinch! We did it last year, and he was a riot. They had a couple of Whos going around too.

That will be a huge disappointment. I'm there Dec. 3-4.

Probably not...I think they come down around 1/2.
