The title suggests it all

9 of us are going in September and in considering using this time to our advantage. (Our being me and DH)

He loves Simpsons and would love the new area and I would love to go back Harry Potter as I was pregnant last time and couldn't go on the rides.

Is it possible to get it all done. We won't be doing many of any roller coasters DH doesn't like them but I would love to ;).

Where is the best place to get a 1 day hopper?

Well....I know that we can do it easily in one day, but it is only DH and me, no kids. But we know what we want to do and skip a far bit of it as its our least fav of all the parks. We also skip the rollercoasters. We went straight to Harry Potter first thing, as soon as it opened, then did a most of the other rides in IOA, avoiding the HULK and Spiderman (get motion sick on that one), had lunch on City Walk, then ambled over to US and did most things there too. We did this last time we went in the November (when Jaws was still there:sad1:) and the crowd levels were equiv to last September. I would say that if you experience motion sickness on Spiderman then you def will on the Simpsons ride!

I suppose it just depends how much you want to do really. But we never really give it more then a day of our holiday. Don't get me wrong I do like to go but every other year is enough for us.:)

I'm pretty much the same as Vanda. Since harry potter opened we head straight there and do IOA for the morning. Then lunch somewhere and then get a few hours in at US in the afternoon. We usually manage to get a fair few rides in and have never missed out on anything that we wanted to do. We are usually good to go by 4pm latest.
I do like universal and IOA but i find that I have had enough by late afternoon and would certainly not need more time.

Yeah will just be me and DH No kids. I would like to try Spider-Man and Jurassic park in IOA as well as potter. The back in US it's just Simpsons new area, MIB and the mummy. It will be late sept early oct so hoping crowds will be minimal. X

you'll def be able to do it in one day then..and quite leisurely at that.
Not sure about the one day park hopper on line. I think we got ours at Universal on the gate. :)

with front of the line, we easily do it in less than one day...really only half a day for us when we use front of the line.. :)

We had AP's for about 8 years, in the early years we could spend days in each park but more recently we could do both in a day, we lost interest in Universal.

A 1 day Hopper is $138.47 incl tax. or £89.
For about another £10 you can get 14 days UK ticket. £101 here less 2% Quidco = £99 www. attractiontix .co.uk/universal-studios-orlando.aspx?gclid=CISGg5KK0LcCFbMftAodww8A7w

Ah thanks for the link :worship:

Last time we went there was 7 of us (all adults) some who were ex Disney CM's so we had been a few times and some of the group had never been at all.

We got there for opening, did Harry Potter then went straight over to do US as it has shorter opening times that IOA. So once we had done the bits in US we wanted to do we went back to IOA to finish stuff off.

It was a bit whistle stop, especially for the people who hadn't done it before but we only had the option of doing a day so we set out to do as much as we could.

I let my parents do there own thing as I knew they didn't want to do the rollercoasters so I didn't want them waiting for us to come off rides. They enjoyed taking it at a slower pace.

I would actually say that to really appreciate both parks you need to have at least one day in both.

I have not been for a couple of years so missed the new Harry potter land and Simpson area but last time we went we saw all the shows and found some really cool stuff that you would normally miss.

We did the Beatle juice show, saw the blues brothers performing and a show that is missed a lot the make horror show which I thought was brilliant. Also I believe it has a cinematic nightly show now.

Like any park it can be rushed but I think to really appreciate them a day is needed.

I have been 3-4 times before and done al the rides. last time i was pregnant and did just 1 ride (jaws) I really want to do HP and the new Simpsons. DH hates rollercoasters so don't need to consider them. I hate riding alone to me it's more thrilling with some one.

DH isn't sure about going he thinks nearly £180 is a lot of money on top of WDW tickets. :(. Gutted just don't know when/if we would ever get the chance to go again. I need some help to convince him

I did IOA in one day with front of line passes. Arrived at 8am. Still queued around the park for Potter.

Did everything we wanted, some things more than once. Party of 8. Some cast members didn't scan our Express Plus passes so we got to use them twice but that, I guess, was lucky.

That worked great but there is no way we would have fitted in US as well in that day.

Some context would be it was Christmas week and when HP attractions were still pretty new.

Still. Personally I think doing both parks in one day properly would be a challenge. Your mileage may vary though.

Last year 11 of us including two year old twins and four year old went and did both sides in one day, we rode hp aboutsix times, went there first thing in morning with no queues, even did the wand shop several times

The only thing we didnt do was men in black and terimator

We did get there about 8:30 and left around 6pm so a full day with lunch in hard rock in between

Easily do both parks in 1 day. Last year myself and my sis spent all day in the parks, all night on city walk at the clubs, got some breakie then spent all day at the parks again. Got everything done :thumbsup2
