Rock the Universe is cancelled for Saturday and Sunday. No word on the daytime park itself, but with the new track taking the core of it over Orlando, I'm sure that will follow up soon.

That's awesome that they're letting Saturday ticket holders go on Friday. Hoping the hurricane swerves east and gets out of there.:worried:

Check out the temp stickie I put up about Irma
Parks are closing

Universal Orlando Resort™ has made the following operational decisions due to Hurricane Irma:

Our destination will close at 7pm on Saturday, Sept. 9. We will be fully closed on Sunday and Monday. We anticipate normal operating hours on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Our on-site hotels are currently at full capacity and will remain operational as they focus on taking care of our on-site guests.

We will hold our Rock the Universe™ event at Universal Studios Florida™ tonight, Friday Sept. 8 and will welcome Saturday ticket-holders tonight as well. The event will be cancelled on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

For more information, please visit our FAQ page.

I went this morning at open, to say it was dead is an understatement, it felt like more employees than guests. The stages were pulled down,t he construction walls at fast and furious were taken down, and no wait on everything (even minions).

I left when the first rainband hit around noon.

Here's what the front of fast and furious looks like with the walls down:
