We have just booked out universal horror night tickets for 29th sept. I have had to phone universal because if you book them on the web you have to purchase your park passes at the same time and we have already ordered the 4 park flexiticket over here.

Excellent news ~ Will have to remember this for next year.

thanks for the info - I'm wanting to do exactly the same thing for the same night and have already booked the tickets... could you let me know the number you rang?

Cheers!

The number is (001 from uk ) 407-363-8000 then follow the prompts to get to horror night tickets. We will be the ones screaming the loudest if DD is anything to go by!!!!

Thanks for letting us know. :thumbsup2 Will have to give them a call to book my tickets. Just need to decide when to go now. The 29th or 30th of September or to go on our last night, the 6th October.

Any recomendations on when is best to go?

We had this dilema the 1st night or saturday night thinking a lot of locals will be there. We have gone for the friday night i suppose the more people there the better the atmosphere we will see.

Just ordered mine online without having to buy theme park tickets.
Got the frequent fear pass, (you can go any wednesday, thursday or sunday & on halloween night& also the first 2 nights it opens) for the same price as a one night pass ($59 + tax)
Printed the tickets out at home :)
I'm scared now!!!

wonder if they have changed it since this afternoon after i told them about the problem i was having with the booking.

Sorry - I shall not be going again - once was enough for DH and I.
I am sure this event is great - but unfortunatly the night I went last year I saw some things that I did not expect to see - underage drinking everywhere, people throwing up, a free for all in the car park and not a cm in sight - and a park that in my opinion was way to overcrowded to be safe.
Dont get me wrong I love universal studios but once was enough.

Hope everyone else has a good time though.

Sarah

If anyone is looking to buy the frequent fear pass using the AP discount, they are not yet available on the website, you cant log in, I called them though and they are $47.88 inc TAX and you can either wait for them to update the website or call them to book.

I think I'll wait & get the "stay to scream" pass & save the $90! We 're going to HoS at BG the night before so will get a night even if HHN is full! Have to agree with Sarah on our last trip to HHN we couldn't believe the amount of very drunk locals, not something that we had noticed on previous visits but the event has definately gotten bigger since it started.

I think the fact they have airport type mettal dectors on the gate warns you that its not a family friendly crowd that attends! Saying that ive never seen any trouble, though I have seen a lot of drunk people, and security do seem to be very hot at sorting out anyone that oversteps the mark, its def not an event for youngsters though.

I'd say from past experience that the friday will be the least busy, opening night last year wasn't too busy compared to how it can get.

One thing that's worth doing is geting the express pass book of tickets - think they're $30 on off peak nights. They include fast pass access to all the mazes plus select attractions. If its a really busy night the queues can get to 2+ hours, it's nearly impossible to do everything and so are well recommended.

Also if you already have tickets for universal/ioa the do the stay and scream, it's free and will give you a head start. At park closing there'll be an area sectioned off with one maze opened early to go round. Go up and present your HHN tickets to gain access. This maze will usually be far less busy than the rest will get for most of the night, you might even be lucky (or unlucky!) enough to be let through it one by one like we were!

I fancy doing Howl O Scream this year, I've done HHN 3 times and loved them all. Have you been been to the event before?

DS is going with DH, I have to watch the girls as they are too young. I'm waiting for the AP rates to book on line.

What are Thursday & sunday nights like?? Do they get really busy??

Diskobox (hope I spelt that correctly!) Yes we have done HoS before & it was just as good as HHN,some of the houses maybe even nicked it but just getting to do the coasters in the pitch dark does it for me!! The only thing was that it was very spread out (may have changed) encompassing the whole park, they even had scare zones in "the land of dragons". Just booked our passes last night & the first weekend is classed as a preview weekend so is on sale at $30 as an e-ticket! Still hope to get HHN as well but $60 each is too much!
