Hi There, we are a family consisting of my wife and I, an 8 year old daughter and a 16 month old son. We will be in WDW in Feb. We plan on spending one day at Universal. Which park would you recommend based on the age of our children?

I would go to Universal Studios FLORIDA if you're going to be at WDW. Going to Hollywood on this trip might be a little hard...

USF is right for your age group. Enjoy.

Maybe she was asking about Disney's Hollywood Studios ( which used to be called MGM).

I can tell that MGM's new name is going to cause a lot of confusion with Universal Studios Hollywood.

Tough, tough questions. Is there any way you can do 2 or a day and a half? Right now you can get a park hopper for $79.00 per person.

Islands has all the superhero stuff which my daughter loved the spiderman ride when she was 5 and still loves at 12. Both my kids 5 yo DS and 12 yo DD
love Seuss landing. It is so whimsical, they would go on the cat and the hat ride over and over if I let them. The water rides are great for hot days
and in Seuss landing there is a water play area for your little one.

Universal Studios my who;e family also loves. Mummy is great fun. Men in back is a great family ride but you would also have to do a kid swap for that and mummy but you could prob take your daughter on both.

The whole family likes the shrek 4D show and the animal actors. There is also a huge kids water play area Curious George themed I believe.

If your son is into Barney that show is fun for the little ones.

Whatever you do may I suggest your kids wear swimsuits or bring one with so they can get as wet as they would like. Also gives parents a good chance to get off their feet and just watch the kids have a good time.

Very hard to choose one - like I said any way you can do both????:rotfl2:

I do agree with you phantom that the changed park name at Disney is going to be a confusion. Like it isn't already, some people think that Disney and Universal are all one park chain.

With the group that you are talking about I would do Universal Studios not IOA.
