Hi There!

We are planning to do a week at Disney and then switch over to Universal October 4-8, 2021. We haven't been to Universal Orlando in at least 10 years.

Between staying at premier hotel (Lowes Portofino Bay seems to be cheapest) which includes Express Passes Unlimited, plus the cost of park passes we're looking at a total of about $2k.

Plan is to arrive Monday from Disney. Debating if we should do a park on Monday or just do citywalk/resort day. Then do full day of Universal and then full day of Islands of Adventure. Would this be enough to get everything done?

Last day plan is to go to SeaWorld as it is a favorite of mine.

Would love people's thoughts.

IMO two days with express pass can get everything done.
Still Id try to take advantage of as much park time on Monday as possible - especially since you have express pass.
Parks dont stay open as late as Disney so there is time to do Citywalk etc.. after teh parks close
Can always go back to the resort mid day for a break and go back to the parks as well.

Agree 100%

You can certainly ride everything in two days with EPs, but you'll be a bit rushed. A third day would really let you relax as you walk around the park, and even take in some shows.

You can get a Seasonal Pass for around $10 more than a 2-day park-to-park ticket. That opens up the APH rates, which could save you more than what you spend to upgrade...

We did all the top rides in two days... most ticket deals i found give you buy two get third free. Day one we went to studios ... they have the parades and such on this side had a really relaxing fun day.. day two Islands of adventure. We had a lot harder time fiting everything in one day on this side because there are so many rides... on our third day we made it all Harry potter and crossed over and finished HP on the studios side.. that way we could take our time and eat at three broomsticks.
We also did SeaWorld for two days but because we alternate each year between WDW and the others. We had more time.
