Universal Halloween Nights OCTOBER 2009

I hope so cause it just looks like so much fun. We have done the MNSSHP once which was fun but we want to do something scary this time.

Well that really sucks because our last day will be Saturday Oct 3rd and we wanted to try the HHN. Looks like we won't be able to unless we change our dates, which I don't think we will since we have our Airline tickets already and it's hard for my wife to get time off in the last 3 months of the year. Oh well.:sad2:

You could still make it since it opens on a Friday night and I assume that will be October 2nd. Hopefully your flight home on Saturday is not too early! Wel, I guess you can always sleep on the plane.:goodvibes

I'm not scared of anything coming to get me, I'm just trying to avoid the crowds!! I'd like to spend a full day without worrying about getting kicked out before I'm ready.
Just make sure to check out the park hours online before your trip. Even if you manage to go to the parks on a HHN date, crowds will be light during the day.

disneyhappy, who gave you the information on the HHN opening weekend date?

if it was thru the hotel, they might be wrong.

the hotel reservations have nothing to do with the scheduling of the hard ticket events. that is done and decided upon by universal alone.

keep on eye on the website like Metro suggested.

none of us know for sure the opening weekend date, but can only guess based on the last few years calendar.

Me too! Especially if we decide that we have to save some money by staying offsite. If we end up onsite then we'll be fine, I'm sure.

I called the 888 central reservations phone number and mentioned to the TM I was coming for HHN. She booked it for the last weekend in September as requested and then put me on hold to get approval from her supervisor for the Youfirst upgrade. When she came back on line she mentioned that they received a tentative schedule for HHN posted on their bulletin board and it doesn't start until the first weekend in October. She stated that the dates could change but she wanted to give me a head's up. I mentioned that in the past it always started the last wekend in September. She said that was because October 1st was closer to the beginning of the week. She went on to say that the event always spans 6 weekends with it ending the weekend after Halloween. They currently have the last weekend of the event tentatively listed for 11/7 & 8. Considering the rate went from $175 the last weekend in Sept at RPR to $215 the first weekend in Oct, I thought she was probably correct. I booked 10/1,2,3 but will keep my eyes open. I would love to pay a lower room rate!

May be I missed it, but how much do the admission tickets for this cost? Not the VIP stuff

The details on this year's event won't be posted until this summer. Keep checking back.

Metro is correct but I will add that Peak nights cost more than Non peak nights for the HHN tickets.

we LOVE HHN we are going back this year for the 3rd year in a row - we went columbus day weekend in 07 and the weekend before in 08 - we have no choice but to go columbus day weekend in 09 since my daugthers high school does not allow you to take your child out of school - they have a 10 day limit on absences - taking her this school year already gave her 7 so we are just hoping she doesnt get sick between now and june.

my daughter just turned 15th and we have been taking her since she was 13 and she loves it - granted in 07 Freddy scared the living day lights out of her but it was all in fun and we still laugh about it til this day.

we just booked 2 connecting rooms at the HRH for Oct 8,9,10,11,12 and used the AP discount - but we are only renewing her AP since me and the boyfriend both won the free tickets on superbowl.

let the countdown begin....I cant wait...my daughter is also counting down to the 2010 trip she said she cant wait to see what they do for the 20th anniversary.

see you all there
