hi.. I was just a little interested in what actually goes on during the nights this event is taking place. And if it is trully worth it. Also, do you have to buy a seperate ticket for it? Because i know in magic kingdon you have to buy a oark ticket if you want to go during the day, and buy the mmnsshp also. I would appreciate the help. Thanks!!:)

What goes on?Screaming, alot of screaming. Its rated as the countrys best Holloween event.Very intense!!Its deff worth every penny to me and yes its a separate ticket.:thumbsup2

AWESOME event - very scary compared to Disney (not even in the same ballpark). There are some very scary and wonderfully creative haunted houses to walk through, as well as other special events. The official website is here: http://http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando. It is a separate ticketed event, so you would need a park ticket during the day, and a HHN ticket for the night - HHN ticket is $69.99, and if you go on the weekend or closer to Halloween, you may want to also get the Express Pass that lets you skip the lines at the houses - they range bewteen $39.99 & $74.99 per person depending on the night you go.

Yes, it is a seperate ticketed event. It is highly popular and is COMPLETELY opposite of what Magic Kingdom has to offer in terms of a Halloween Party. MK is just that, a party, with candy, dress up, and nothing scary. Universal utilizes an entire different side of Halloween and cranks it waaayyyy up. The event even has a disclaimer saying they don't think the material they present is appropriate for 13 (or is it 14?) and under.

The even revolves aroudn specific stories and characters and portions of the park are decked out as "scare zones" where paid "Scareactors" are fully costumed and try to creep you out. The main draw are the haunted houses, which the lines can grow HUUGGGEEE for. They are basically haunted mazes which you walk through, and scareactors line the corridors and pop out and scare you and startle you. the houses and scarezones are decked out with very immersive sets and the detail is amazing. they really hold nothign back, as characters are often seen with body parts missing, blood oozing, screaming, being torured, yelling, chainsaw men chasing after (with real chainsaws, just the blades taken off) fake blood being squirted at you to simulate real blood, loud noises, pitch blackness, strobe effects, and anything else to scare you.

I heard this as well but then again they were saying that before last years event. I can't imaging why they wouldn't be there as they're such a major part of HHN. I love the sound of the chainsaws and they're great fun to watch! :thumbsup2

RAPStar, tha rumor is 100% FALSE. The chainsaw guys are a staple and will be back in full force. So will he zombies.

The chainsaws and zombies HAVE to be there! They really freaked me out!
Anyone use all day dining deals during these events? I figured since I'll be the 25th and 26th of September all day in either IoA and afternoons at USF followed by HHN, these meal packages might be worth it. no? yes?

From an 11 year regular.. the chainsaw guys have diminished from what they used to be years ago. Meaning.. years ago the "chainsaw guys" used to be all over the park. As well as, we used to have the parade's too!! But, after 11 years, I'm as scared as the first time we went... It is my favorite night w/ my husband of the entire year!!! For 11 years!!! I'm the biggest scaredy cat you will meet, but it is my favorite night of the entire year!!
