you should be able to do alot cause at uso there is barneys playland , fievels playland , curious george playland that is like a little water park were the can run through water and balls factory , jimmy neutron and shrek and ioa there is suess landing with one fish two fish , cat in the hat , suess carocel among a few things i probably forgot and with the seven month old you could do a baby swap to where you can also ride too.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I am trying to get excited about it but Jimmy neutron has a 40in hr we cant do and the rest sounds limiting to me. Alot of play areas and a few rides? I am a disney freak and would rather be over there i think. :confused3

I was the same way when I first went to disney until we went to universal for the first time in 2005 although our youngest was 9 but we were hooked and there will be more for you to do than you think and just like you the first time we went with our inlaws and personaly thought it was going be a bad time and was with disney but as soon as we did universal loved it and even think me and my father inlaw bonded through the rest of the trip.
just give it a chance and if ya don't like it then come back on the board and tell me how wrong I was.

I agree with ky07! Give it a try; you will have a great time. You will see how much more laid back it is compared to the hustle and bustle of Disney, especially since you'll be staying on-site and won't have to stand in long lines! Oh and Jimmy Neutron has some stationary seating in the front, so I think that you and the little ones can use that.

I'm also interested in everyones opinion on this. My girls are 5 and 3 and we've been trying to decide about which park if either would be good for them. I've heard that Scooby Doo is at one of the parks. My oldest LOVES Scooby and would be very excited about getting to meet him. Does anyone know if he does a meet and greet and if so, which park?

I've also been looking at the Dr. Seuss Character meal. Is this something I should try and do? How does this compare to Character meals at Disney? Are there any other Character meals available?

Thanks for the help!!!

We spent 16 days in Orlando this summer and a good chunk of it was spent at US/IOA. My niece, 3, had a ball. Suess's Landing is unbelievable. She had so much fun there she never wanted to leave. She also really enjoyed the Sinbad show there and the water fountain. In US she liked Jimmy Neutron (had to the stationary seating), Shrek, Beetlejuice, ET, the pet show, Barney, Fievel's Landing and the water area. When we were at Magic Kingdom she had fun, but kept asking when we were going back to Cat in the Hat. I think if you go with an open mind you'll have a lot of fun. We certainly did.

there is a breakfast but unsure if Scooby is at and if I'm right he is not but most usually if you see them out they will stop and take pics and meet with the kids.

Scooby is at dinner at the Island Diningroom at the Royal Pacific.
I believe the schedule is on the univeral website

Hi,

I didn't see any Character Meet and Greet with Scooby Doo (right now at Universal, Orlando). Did see him at the Macy's Parade at Universal Studios though.

If your kids are fans of Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & Thing 2 then I would say Dr. Seuss Character meal is a must. This was totally different from our experience at Chef Mickey's where it was 30 seconds of Mickey and 30 seconds of Minnie. This is much more relaxed and your kids get lot of time with the characters. Thing 2 almost spent like 3-4 minutes with our 3 year old.
