I am headed down to Orlando the first week in November for a for three days at Universal & 4 at AKL. The way the Universal tickets work it looks like I will be buying a ticket good for 5 days. Since I only need 3 days I will not be using the last two days of these tickets ( 4 of them). Does anyone know how the Universal tickets work? Would I be able to give or trade them to someone else to use for the remaining two days? If so, would anyone like these tickets ( they would be good 11/04 & 11/05)? If possible I would love to trade them for one or two remaing days of Disney parkhoppers ( 2 adult & 2 child). If anyone has any info on whether this swap could work let me know. Since I haven't seen anyone else post a potential swap like this I can only assume the Universal tickets are marked is such a way that the same person has to use them. If that is the case, please let me know.

Unless things have changed since the last time I went to Universal, this would not be a very good deal for the person with whom you wish to swap. Universal multi-day tickets seem to have MUCH deeper discounts than Disney parkhoppers do. According to their website you can now get "5 days for the price of two" or a 5 day consecutive pass for only $89. Sounds like a better trade might be a full 5 day pass for 2 days on a parkhopper.

Our trip last year we bought the 5 day passes for $89 and we had to write our names on the back ofthe ticket and they did check our ID's--we atleast those of us with an ID-the kids didnt have any ID's.
You could give it a shot but I dont think you'll be able to do it.

If they make you write your name on the tickets & check IDs then this will not work. I knew there had to be a reason why no one else was doing this. Thanks guys.

pmenna,
Mastercard is running a promotion where you pay for 4 5-day USF/IOA passes and you get 5. You might want to consider doing that and then selling or trading that 5th pass. Here's the link:
MasterCard Universal Buy 4 Get 5

That mastercard deal looks really great, however I need 6 passes. Any suggestions. Would I be able to sell the other 4????

Even if you only use 3 days you are getting a good deal. Three day passes to Universal by themselves would cost more than $89 each.

I'm going to buy 4 here this week, and I only need 4. It might be easier to just work something out for my extra ticket :D

Thanks to the OP for the Mastercard info, thats a great deal!

Did this promotion just start how much longer will they run it. Any Idea???

It didnt just start it has been going on for a while--the first I heard of it was last fall when were planning our trip. Im not sure when it will end but you can buy then now and they will still be accepted when you take your trip. The expire 5 days after you first use it.

You have to sign your name on the Universal ticket and each time you enter, they usually ask you to sign in on their sheet.

As for the 5 day pass. It is good for 5 consectutive days only. So you would not be able to give/sell them to anyone else for future use.

You can also buy them individually at $89 each. Use the MC buy 4, get 1 free, and just purchase an extra one for the 6th person.

Hope that helps :)

I actually have an extra 5 Day Bonus Pass ticket, I would love to trade with someone for some Connections Vouchers ( since I am Canadian and can't join or order from Connections). We had originally planned on doing only one day at Disney, so vouchers weren't a big deal. Now we will go for 3-4 days, and I would love to save some money on the park food. I took advantage of the buy 4/ get 5 deal through Mastercard for my Universal tickets as I had invited a friend to come with us for a few days. Now, her mother is dying of cancer and she is unable to join us.
