Universal for Christmas? Too late?

Just tonight DH and I started thinking that when we are at SIL for Christmas day we are already a couple hours closer to Orlando. Not a great reason to plan a trip, but how good a reason do we need! Anyway we have never been to Universal. We have a DS13 and a DD6. If we stay on-site could we get on the big rides even the week between Christmas and New Years?

Both Portifino and Royal Pacific had rooms a minute ago. A bit pricey but available and then we would get front of the line right? I assume that would be the right way to go over the holiday.

I noticed some kind of ticket deal, is it good for the holiday week?

Please feel free to tell me straight out that I am just crazy to think about it!

Thanks! :teeth:

Sounds like fun to me! You do get front of the line access staying at any of the hotels. Make sure you check the AAA rate.

The wife and I stay at RPR every year between Christmas and New Year's, and will be there agin next month. It's a great time to be there - the parks look festive, and are open quite late ('til at least 11PM). Yes, there are BIG crowds, but by staying on-site you can mostly avoid them, and if you are like us, get lots of rides in at the end of the day when all the families have headed home. Plus we really enjoy the cooler weather ...

i would go for it

as said before check the AAA rate and yes you DOOO get front of the line which helps a bunch

it will be packed but if you can get up early and leave late and stay on site you should be fine
