Universal Express Question

I tried but I couldnt find the answer to my question in any of the threads. (not to dare say it is not in there, just that after days of searching, i could not find the answer)

Last year Universal offered universal express with its bonus pass We were then able to swipe our ticket and reserve our ride. This info was included on the website when we bought our tickets.

This year as I checked the site, I have seen nothing to say that Universal Express comes with any of the tickets. Does Universal Express come with either the bonus, power or preferred pass, or has it changed since last year?

I see now they are offering a front of the line express pass (express plus?). I just want to know if the regular express is available at all?

Yes, this is still available. You can use this with any type of ticket.

My question is whether or not it still comes with the ticket. Is universal express still included in the ticket price or is this now something you have to purchase separately.

Yes, the Express pass is free. This works just like Disney's fastpass where you put your ticket into the express pass kiosk and it gives you a return time. There is an Express Pass Plus that can be purchased which gives you express entrance ONCE for each ride without having to worry about set return times. And of course there is FOTL which is for onsite resort guests where you get front of the line access all day by just showing your resort card.

Thank you both for your help. If I am understanding correctly, once I purchase my ticket I then can reserve my rides for certain times at the kiosk. This service comes with the ticket price. Also, if I would like, then I could purchuse express plus tickets which would allow me to go enter each ride once when ever I want to.

Yes, that's right. After you get your first express pass, it will tell you on yhe pass when you can get your next one. It is usually one or two hours later or whenever your return time has passed whichever is less. On the express pass plus, these cost $15-$25 depending on the date you go. Just to let you know, you cannot buy a pass for just certain rides. It is a one price pass which covers all of the rides. HTH.

Youve been very helpfull. One last question though. I have been looking for a link to purchase the express pass on line. Do you know of a link or site to purchase these. I would prefer to purchase directly from universal.

That I do not know. I am sure someone else can tell you. Keep in mind though that depending on how many people you have going, it may be better just to stay on site. You can usually get some pretty good discounts (there is a thread at the top of the resort board which will give you an idea of the discounts). If you have say a family of 4, it will cost somewhere between $60 and $100 just for the plus passes which are good only for one day. However, if you stay onsite, you will get unlimited FOTL for 2 days-the day you check in and the day you check out. Just some food for thought.

Call 1-800-UESCAPE, that's Universal's Central Reservations and they will be able to give you all the info you need. I believe that if you purchase your Express Plus in advance, they are a little less expensive as well.
