My kids want to come back- we did Universal in 2004 when they were 9 and 11 and Disney in 1998 when they were 5 and 7. I prefer to stay at Universal for FOTL. What would most recommend for itinerary? I think they'd like to go to Magic Kingdom but are they too old? We did Animal Kingdom and MGM- what else is new that they'd like- they're 14 and 11. We will not have a car so shuttle back and forth- any other thoughts or suggestions. We will probably be there in August- I know it'll be hot but that's the only time that works for us.Thanks

Depending on how long your stay is, why don't you split it between Disney & Universal. I don't think I would pay for a Universal hotel (to get FOTL) and spend days at Disney. That is just how I think, if I am paying for that hotel, I want what comes with it.. Unless you plan on doing Disney only 1 day, then that would be a different case. As far as being too old...too old for the MK :confused3 I do not think anyone is too old for that. The MK is a classic theme park for young & old alike. If you mean, they are into Roller Coasters, then that is different. If that is what they are into & only that, then do not waste your time there. Yes, there are the mountians but they are no match for what Universal has for coasters. I hope this has helped you. What do you children think? Where would they rather go? I do know my son (19) would rather Universal. My dd's (13 & 17) like both. Depending on their moods, 17 likes coasters & would pick Universal. The 13 hates coasters & would pick Disney....

keep in mind the FOTL will spoil you! If you split the stay, make Universal the 2nd stop :)

We are going to Universal for three days followed by 4 days at disney (4/18-4/25) My kids are 14 and 12; they prefer Universal but want to do Disney too. I am doing it this way to advantage of FOTL and Disney transportation.

The Universal stay actual is costing us more per day, but since this is such a busy week it was worth paying more to get the FOTL perk and then hopeful Disney crowds thin out over the weekend after Easter....

You can take a taxi or call Mears to go between resorts and if the room isn't ready you can check your luggage and head to the parks so as not to waste a day....or you can hang out at the resort that day and take a break...

Splitting the trip is great . . . in fact, it's what we do, BUT you gotta END with Disney. Oops. I'm on the wrong board!
