I am looking for information about Universal's City Walk. After a day at Animal Kingdome we are thinking of taking the evening and going for dinner at City Walk, but need a bit more info. There will be four adults and four kiddos ages between 7-9. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Is there an admission fee?

How much is parking?

Any recommendations for restaurant?

Do we need a reservation?

Any special places to be sure to see?

Any spots to possibly avoid?

Are there fireworks or other nightly entertainment events?

How long of a drive from the Disney area (Animal Kingdom area)?

Any suggestions would be great! TIA

I believe parking after 6:00 pm is free
there is no admission fee for citywalk only if your going to the night clubs which they charge at the door
reservations can be made the day your going and not like Disney where you have to make them 180 days in advance.
The places we like and I have DS's 16 and 12 is Nascar Grille , Jimmy Buffetts Margarittaville and HardRock Cafe
Hope this helps :goodvibes

Is there an admission fee? no fee to go to the shops or resturaunts. some cover charge for the clubs.

How much is parking? parking is free after 6 pm in the garage.

Any recommendations for restaurant? i have some but do you have food allergies or certain types of foods that are your favorites? are you looking for a place with drinks, ambiance, or just great food?

Do we need a reservation? depends on which place you go to. some have a wait list at the door on certain nights.

Any special places to be sure to see? there is a mini type of rides in the city walk area if your kids are into that. they are the carnival type of rides.

Any spots to possibly avoid? the stores if you have a family member that loves to shop or a male that loves to go to the sports stores. you'll come out broke. i know i did.......

Are there fireworks or other nightly entertainment events? the 360 globes end next week/saturday
there are always street performers at city walk. bands or djs in the city walk band/performance area. this is free, it is for the guests pleasure. some clubs have entertainment but might have a cover charge.

How long of a drive from the Disney area (Animal Kingdom area)?
if you go during rush hour, it will take you longer to get there.
since you will have children with you, can you wait until 6 to arrive so you can get the free parking? if you leave AK around 5:30, you will hit traffic.
if traffic is not an issue, i would think you could be at the garage within 20 minutes. it really depends when you go and what day you go.

Any suggestions would be great! TIA

Thank you so much for all of the info. It sounds like a lot of fun.

We do not have any special dietary concerns - although my hubby and friend would definitely like to be able to have a nice cold beer. :)

I will check out the link provided as well.

check out the thread in the uo forums about the happy hour.

you can find the 2 for 1 and discounts for beer on that thread.

I think everyone will enjoy the feeling of energy and excitement at CityWalk...especially after dark. I think the kids will love it!

since these people are newbies, it might help them with more info...
