We did the dining experience 2 years ago and enjoyed it very much. We got anything we wanted on the menu at Lombard's (appetizer, entree, non-alcoholic drink) and then there was a dessert buffet before and during the show. The buffet is on the 'balcony' outside of Lombard's, and there are tables and chairs for the guests. At the time, it wasn't *that* much more than buying the food separately, and we appreciated the reserved spot (and a place to sit) to watch the show. The main stumbling block for me was the show itself, which was just okay. So I'm not planning to do it again on our upcoming trip because of that.
Okay, I just went to check out the menu. If I pick a middle of the road appetizer and entree, and add drink, that would cost about $26 out of pocket. Adding in tax and tip (taxes and gratuity are included in the package) this brings it to about $33. Which implies that you are then paying $12 per person for the dessert buffet and reserved seating. The desserts are pretty nice (or at least, they were 2 years ago when we did this) so it's not unreasonable.
