Universal Christmas Stuff Dates

When does Universal usually start their Christmas celebrations and stuff or when might we learn when they're going to start it? I seem to recall it being around Dec 8 each year. I'm wondering if I should try to add time on to the end of our vacation in Dec instead of before so we can catch the Christmas stuff. I'm hoping for Shrekmas.

It was December 8th last year - I only remember because it started the day before I arrived in Orlando! I was trying to find out the same information last year, I basically ended up waiting until later in the year when it was all announced on Universal's website. I didn't need to tag on any extra vacation time or anything though so I didn't need to find out quite so soon. From what I gather the Chrsitmas stuff was scaled down slightly last year (i.e less of the Grinch stuff at IOA etc) but the Macy's balloon parade at USF is great - well worth signing up to be a balloon handler if they do it this year!

Sorry I can't be of more help! Much as I love Universal it's a shame they don't announce and promote stuff a bit earlier like Disney do!
