According to the results from the second quarter report, attendance at Universal Orlando’s two theme parks is up 6% when compared to the same quarter last year. Universal’s revenue for the quarter is just shy of $250 million, up 9% over last year. This is good news for Universal since the first quarter report indicated a 15% attendance plunge over last year.

I'd jump up and down too, but it doesn't mean much to the suits at the top.

It all goes to NBC, and they care about bigger things.

It would be nice if they put in a new thrill ride, but it doesn't work that way. In the case of Busch Gardens, they actually wait for attendance to drop before putting in a major thrill ride. So I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

Yeah, but it is news the Disneyite's don't like to hear.....remember when they flipped when Universal ran the commercial comparing them to Disney?? They went on and on how Disney's attendance is greater and growing while Universal's is dropping....there's the proof that Universal's attendance is growing....heck, I'm a "transformed" Disney-ite.....ONE trip to UO, and we come away with AP's.....guess what I bought them with?? The money we were saving to buy 10 day nonexpiring passes to Disney! :thumbsup2
