Universal - Arrival Procedure ?

I am booked at RPH for an overnight stay on Jan 1st. I intend to arrive for park opening on that day and have 2 full days in park. I am currently planning the following:

Park at hotel and leave bags in car
Check in at hotel and get front of line pass
Walk/transport to parks
Exchange ticket voucher using electronic machines at gate
Visit parks

Is this the most logical sequence? If I want to be ready for park opening how long would this all take?

Excellent plan. We check in about 8 and walk. Sometimes parks open at 8:30.

I'd leave my bags at the luggage service to avoid another trip back out to your car ...from when you return from the parks.
