Universal area to disney with luggage...how to get there?

I'm staying at universal area hotels for the first part of my trip then I will transfer to WDW (AKL)

How can I get there easiest/cheapest/fastest???

car rental? Alamo one day is 35 after taxes, 3 days is 110 after taxes

cab??
Mears shuttle??

any experience/words of wisdom... thanks

The easiest and fastest isn't usually the cheapest. How are you getting from the airport to your Universal hotel?

Consider renting a car and keeping it for 3 days. Not the cheapest but easy. Makes it easy to recover some of the expense by eating a few meals offsite and/or buying food.

Using a car service? Get a price for your transfer from Universal to Disney.

Cheapest is probably a one way/one day car rental for both your transfer from MCO and your transfer. Hertz has a desk in the Universal hotels and a desk in SoG (Disney). Looks like you've already researched Alamo. You have to put a value on your time.

Mears shuttle won't allow you to bring luggage on their buses between US/IoA and WDW. We asked and were told we could bring backpacks.
How are you getting to your US resort from the airport??? You can rent a car at the airport and keep it until you arrive at AKL..but keep in mind that you will be paying to park at your US resort....about $15 a night now.

You can also hire a car service to cart you around as well. Or just take a cab each time. Price 'em out and see which meets your needs the best.

thanks...looks like car rental is the best option. It just gets so expensive.

I priced out car rental from MCO to drop at WDW and it is like 300 dollars Way outta control.


I was planning on Mears shuttle to RPR since I won't need or use the car there. then picking up a car after checking out. hmmm decisions/decisions
