We're staying at the WL in September: first time to WDW in 11 years (I was 15 then) :rotfl:

How far is Universal and Sea World from WL? How about Daytone Int'l Speedway?

Universal and Sea World are about 20 minutes away, give or take. Daytona is about 2 hours or so from WDW.

Hello,

When my DW and I went to Universal last June, it took us about 15 - 20 min to get to there from Animal Kingdon Lodge at 8am in the morning

We didn't go to Sea World last year.

Peter

That's not far at all. How do we get there? I know the buses at WL don't take you there........and we're not renting a car.

That's what I thought......do you remember how much it costs to rent a car for one day? :confused3

TRhe local bus will take you there...www.golynx.com (though it appears to be down right now, I've to the site and you can enter destinations and it gives you times and location. I think there is at least 3 stops at WDW)

Coming from Disney property, you'll hit Seaworld about 8 to 10 minutes before you hit Universal. If the traffic is good, you could be at Seaworld 10 minutes after leaving Disney property.

Thanks guys! Darcy, does that website tell you where the stop is and all that? We REALLY wanna go but have NO idea where to begin.

thanks for the link -
I'll be staying at VWL in Dec. and had the same question.
I guess there's a direct bus from MK to SeaWorld, but to Universal you have to switch busses?
For Universal.....
START TRIP LINK 50
Bus Stop 1400 TICKETING/TRANSPORTATION CENTER LOOP, ORLANDO
TRANSFER #1 LINK 21
Bus Stop 455 N GARLAND AVE, ORLANDO 32801
DESTINATION
Bus Stop 6500 VINELAND RD, ORLANDO 32819

For SeaWorld....
LINK 50 - DOWNTOWN ORLANDO/MAGIC KINGDOM
Points of Interest
Downtown Bus Station | WDW Transportation & Ticket Center | Magic Kingdom Cast Bus Station | Sea World | Disney University |

Now that WL no longer has a bus to the ticket and transp. center.... does that mean a bus to MK - boat to Tick/Trans - then the bus/busses?

We'll probably do the bus thing for SeaWorld, but use Tiffany for Universal.

You should be able to get a rental car for $30-$40 a day. For that price, it might be better than paying for a taxi or car service or having to transfer back and forth on several buses.

You enter starting point and destination and it pops out the bus #, place and time. That is when it is running. I think there is a stop ant magic Kingdom, Coronado Springs, Downtown Disney and maybe animal kingdom.

The cool thing is that round trip is less tha $3 and mears and other shuttles seem to be aroung $15 each. I ride city buses occasionally and it no big deal.

**Also when the site is up you can request a map ahead of time and plan it out before you even get there.

We did the Lynx bus to Seaworld. It was perfect!!!!! I asked about travel to Seaworld also and the people on these boards also told me about the Lynx bus. I looked up the info on the website. You pick up the Lynx bus at the TTC. We monorailed over to the TTC. I wasn't sure which stop to go to either, so I asked at the info. desk. They told us which stop to go to. We waited there for the bus. Sure enough, the bus showed up and I just asked where to get off and the driver told us. It was super easy. He dropped us off right across the street from Seaworld. When we got off, I asked where to stand to be picked up and it was the same spot, but across the street.

It was $10.00 round trip for my family of four. It was gonna cost us $50+ to take Tiffany Towncar service.

I just found the bus schedule. The website is www.golynx.com and the phone number is 407-344-lynx. Please feel free to pm me if you need any other info.

It was about $50 for the day w/ taxes and stuff included. It was worth it though. We got it on Disney property-the car place sent a van to pick us up at our resort and took us to the car rental place and when we drove the car back to return it- they took us in a van back to our resort. The transportation to and from the rental place was free but we did tip the guy.

Liz, now I'm more confused :rotfl2:

Whats Tiffany? Do you book prior to leaving for WDW?

Tiffany's a great towncar service! They'd pick you up in front of your hotel and drop you off at your destination and then pick you up at a designated time. You can book either before or while you're down there. Ask for Jan. He's wonderful. We ask for him all the time.
