I am taking a 3 day land 4 day cruise starting October 27... we will be off the ship on thurs Nov. 3... has anyone figured out how to get transportation back to Orlando (rent a car or other) to extend the vacation to include universal studios?

I figure if we do disney (land and cruise) we might as well do a couple days at universal, but can't figure out what to do about getting back since we weren't going to rent a car but use disney transporation??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You can take a taxi to cocoa beach, very short distance. there is a avis car rental, a lot of cruisers use this service. I don't know if they deliver to the terminal or not, you'd have to call and ask. Or if your package takes you to WDW after the cruise, you can get a taxi to universal. It takes about 25 minutes to get there if traffic is good on I4. When we did it it cost us about $30. plus tip, but that was 6 years ago, so the price has gone up I'm sure.
They also have rental cars at WDW sponsored at the AAA service center near the magic kingdom. We felt the price of the taxi was worth the trip to universal. It was a great place to go. It takes all day to do each side , so if you only have one day you have to decide which side to go to. Islands of adventure is all thrill rides accept suess's landings for the little ones.
The other side is movie themed rides. The mummy roller coaster and shrek are there and are their newest rides. There are several things younger kids can do on this side too. They do charge $8. to park, but it's coverd parking which is nice. Allow 10 minutes to walk from the paeking to the park, unless your a very fast walker.
Have fun! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:
